We stopped at The Highlander on our way back from the Sabi Sands where we celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary.
From the moment we arrived we felt that management is on top of things and the service levels all round was spot on.
The Suites are large and well appointed and makes for a great, romantic getaway destination. The fireplace – awesome!!

My husband and I spent a very romantic weekend at this beautiful hotel over an unseasonably chilly weekend in October but I can assure you that the chilly weather did not put a chill in our experience here. We were absolutely blown away by the attentive service we received from the actual owners! (Now that doesn’t happen very often, does it?) They bent over backwards to make sure our every requirement was taken care of and the lady even made sure my forgetful husband had a gorgeous bouquet of flowers (made up of flowers from around the area) to present to me as it was our anniversary. I would even go as far as to say we had a better time at The Highlander Hotel than on our actual honeymoon nine years ago in Thailand!
